When transitioning from wallpaper back to painted walls it is often necessary to re-plaster after stripping away the existing wallpaper. We carry out this process from the initial preparations to the finishing touches. We repair any damaged plaster before replacing beads on windows and chimney breasts and re-skimming the room to an excellent standard.

Artex is often found on ceilings and in some cases, found on walls where it is used to give a textured effect to the surface. Prestige Plastering and Decorating Services can cover old Artex ceilings with PVA plaster, or in cases where the Artex is heavy, we can scrape back what is there and re-skim the surfaces to give a smooth, professional finish.

Rendering is a mix of sand and cement with additives, designed to give a waterproof covering to brickwork. By rendering your property you can completely transform the appearance. However if your property has already been rendered, and is damaged we can remove damaged loose render and repair.
